This tournament consisted of two parts.

Part 1 was a Game/60 one round event where the teams paired off by strength

The Univerisity of Virginia won this first part with a score of 3 1/2 - 1 1/2.

Part 2 was a Round Robin Game/15 Quick Chess tournament.

Virginia Tech showed its strength in this section winning our tying each round. The victory was redeeming after the team's dissapointing showing in the Game/60 section.
